Lovable Pricing Plans 2026: Credits, Tiers and Real Costs

Lovable's plans run from $0 to $4,300 a month, and credits set the price. Here is what each tier includes and where the extra costs come from.

Introduction

Lovable builds React and TypeScript apps from plain-language prompts. It uses Supabase for the backend and has its own Lovable Cloud for hosting and data. Each plan sells a monthly pool of credits. Each prompt, each bit of hosting and each AI call inside your app draws from that pool. The plan you choose decides how many credits you get and which team and governance features come with them.

Lovable's pricing is more involved than its homepage suggests. Pro and Business each come in eleven credit tiers. Credits expire on a schedule. Top-ups cost more per credit than the base plan. The figures below come from Lovable's subscription plans and credits documentation as of October 2026, in USD.

Pricing Tiers Table

Pro and Business start at 100 monthly credits and go up to 10,000. Annual billing gives you roughly two months free.

Monthly creditsPro (monthly)Pro (annual, per month)Business (monthly)Business (annual, per month)
100$25$21$50$42
200$50$42$100$84
400$100$84$200$167
800$200$167$400$334
1,200$294$245$588$490
2,000$480$400$960$800
3,000$705$588$1,410$1,175
4,000$920$767$1,840$1,534
5,000$1,125$938$2,250$1,875
7,500$1,688$1,407$3,300$2,750
10,000$2,250$1,875$4,300$3,584

The Free plan costs $0. It gives you 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. Enterprise prices are not published, and credits are set by contract.

Per credit, Pro costs $0.25 up to the 800-credit tier. At 10,000 credits the price falls to $0.225. Business costs exactly twice as much as Pro at every tier up to 5,000 credits. Above that the gap narrows slightly.

What Each Tier Gets You

Free ($0)

You get a daily chat allowance and 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. You also get 20 Cloud credits, 4 AI credits and 1 connector credit each month. Per the docs, Free now includes private workspace projects, Git sync, custom connectors and unlimited members. You can only publish to people you invite, so a public launch needs a paid plan. Daily credits expire at 00:00 UTC and do not roll over.

Thirty credits a month is enough to judge whether Lovable's output suits you. Lovable lists sample costs: a colour change is about 0.50 credits, adding authentication about 1.20, and a landing page with generated images about 2.00. That is a few dozen small edits a month, which is too little to build a real product.

Pro (from $25/month)

Pro is where Lovable becomes usable for real projects. You get 100 or more monthly credits on top of the 5 daily build credits and the same monthly Cloud, AI and connector grants as Free. Unused plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed. Pro adds code editing and download, custom domains, removal of the "Edit with Lovable" badge, design systems, user roles and email support. It also enables top-ups and auto top-up, plus per-member credit limits and usage alerts, which matter once more than one person is prompting.

Verified students and teachers get 50% off Pro at the 100-credit tier for up to 12 months. The discount applies to monthly billing only.

Business (from $50/month)

Business costs twice as much as Pro for the same credit count. The extra money buys controls, and you get no extra capacity. Business adds SSO, role-based access, internal publishing, password-protected and expiring preview links, Lovable API access, a security centre, commit attribution, design templates and priority support. Workspace data is excluded from AI training by default. On Pro, that exclusion is not listed.

The docs say a Business credit is worth $0.50, against $0.25 on Pro. Cloud and AI usage costs the same in dollars on both plans, so it draws fewer Business credits. Build prompts still come out of a 100-credit pool at the entry tier, whichever plan you are on.

Enterprise (custom)

Enterprise uses volume-based commitment credits. It adds SCIM, audit logs, scheduled security scans, EU inference, bulk member credit limits, a shared publishing domain and dedicated onboarding. Per the docs, Enterprise has no daily chat allowance, no daily build credits and no monthly Cloud or AI grants, so every action draws from the contracted pool.

Hidden Costs

The sticker price understates what an active user pays, for several reasons.

  • Top-ups cost more than plan credits. Per the docs, Pro top-ups cost $15 for 50 credits, or $0.30 each, against $0.25 in the plan. On Business, top-ups cost $30 for 50, or $0.60 each. If you hit your cap mid-month, moving up a tier is usually cheaper than buying top-ups.
  • Credits expire. On monthly plans, rolled-over credits expire two months after they are issued. On annual plans, they expire one month after the billing year ends. Top-up credits last 12 months. Credits are not refundable.
  • Hosting and in-app AI share the pool. Lovable Cloud usage and AI calls inside your app draw from the same balance as building once the 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits are used up. Lovable says most small apps stay within the grant. An app with real traffic will spend credits even when nobody is prompting.
  • Build costs vary by task. Lovable prices Build mode by complexity, and Plan mode costs 1 credit per message plus any subagent research. Our pricing value score of 6/10 reflects this: the cost of a session is hard to predict, and users report spending credits on fixes that did not work.
  • Chat pricing is temporary. The docs say the current per-message chat price and daily chat allowance apply through October 31, 2026, and may change after that. Budget with that date in mind.
  • Seats are free, but the pool is shared. Every plan allows unlimited members, and they all draw from one workspace balance. A five-person team on the 100-credit Pro tier shares 100 credits, so set per-member limits early.

How It Compares to Competitors

ToolEntry paid planWhat the entry plan includesTeam pricing
Lovable$25/mo ($21 annual)100 credits plus 5 daily build creditsUnlimited members, shared credit pool
ReplitCore $20/mo ($18 annual)$20 of usage credit toward modelsPro at $100/mo; Enterprise custom
BoltPro $25/moFrom 10M tokens a month, no daily limitTeams at $30 per member per month

Prices are taken from each vendor's pricing page in October 2026. Replit prices its usage in dollars, Bolt in tokens and Lovable in credits. None of these units convert directly, so compare the plans by how quickly you hit the cap on your own project.

Lovable's main pricing advantage is its seat model. Bolt Teams charges per member, and member tokens are not shared. Lovable charges nothing per seat, which suits a founder with a few reviewers who mostly comment and rarely prompt. Replit Core is $5 cheaper at the entry level, and its included usage is stated in dollars, which makes budgeting easier.

Cursor is a different kind of product. It is an AI code editor for developers who write and review code themselves, so its pricing covers model usage inside an IDE rather than hosting and app generation. If you have outgrown Lovable's guardrails and already export through GitHub sync, Cursor is the usual next step.

Which Plan Should You Pick

  • Testing an idea alone: Free. Thirty credits a month is enough to see whether Lovable's React output matches what you had in mind.
  • Founder or PM building an MVP: Pro at 100 or 200 credits, billed monthly at first. Switch to annual billing once your monthly use settles. At 100 credits annual billing saves $48 a year.
  • Heavy daily iteration: Pro at 400 or 800 credits. A higher tier at $0.25 a credit beats regular top-ups at $0.30.
  • A company that needs SSO or internal-only apps: Business. You pay double for governance, so buy it only if security or IT requires those controls.
  • Regulated or large organisations: Enterprise, mainly for SCIM, audit logs and EU inference.
  • Students: Pro for Students at half price for up to 12 months, if your school's email domain is recognised.

Verdict

Lovable scores 6.8/10 overall. Output quality gets 8/10, citing an 18/20 result in an AIMultiple benchmark of AI app builders. Ease of use gets 7/10, while pricing value and problem fit each get 6/10. Pro at $25 is fair for getting a Supabase-backed prototype in front of users quickly. The costs build up after that: credits expire, top-ups cost 20% more than plan credits, hosting draws from the same pool, and the chat pricing offer ends on October 31. Start on Free, move to the smallest Pro tier that covers a month of real work, and watch the usage alerts. If you need custom backend logic, expect to export the code and continue in a regular editor.
